Skopeo - Medical Imaging

The word Endoscopy is derived from the Greek words 'endo' meaning "within", and 'skopeo', "to look" or "to view". Simply then, endoscopy technique allows us to look inside the body enabling to form a reliable diagnosis.

Skopeo is a Microsoft Windows based application that can assist in scheduling patients, maintains case history and generating reports for patient records. The system is designed to offer enough flexibility to help with the expanding needs of endoscopy practice.

Skopeo is a Image Management and Reporting System as a tool for documenting endoscopic procedures in the modern medical examination suite. By integrating a computer with the existing Pentax video system, Olympus video system, Etc. Skopeo provides a convenient and cost effective method for storing and retrieving video endoscopy images.

The Skopeo system can be controlled from the endoscope's body to allow the physician to capture an unlimited number of images or streaming video during a procedure. Typically, dictating reports is the method of choice for satisfying endoscopists reporting needs, but this is expensive and completion times can be long. While standardized printed forms are a cost effective alternative, they cannot be modified to suit individual reporting needs.

Skopeo addressed both of these issues by creating a reporting system that is as convenient as dictation, but provides an immediate copy of the report, at a significant cost reduction.
